What IZO IPTV collects. Which is almost nothing.
Last updated — April 2026IZO IPTV is a client-side player. It does not operate a cloud account system, it does not sell ads, and it does not sell data. This page explains the minimum information the app stores so it can work at all.
What stays on your device
The app writes the following to the local storage on the TV or streaming stick you installed it on. None of it is transmitted to IZO IPTV beyond the cases in the next section.
- Your Xtream Codes credentials (server URL, username, password) — only so the app can talk to the playlist provider you chose.
- A randomly-generated device identifier, so activation recognises the same TV across restarts.
- Your cached channel / movie / series library, so cold launches don't need a full re-sync.
- Watch history (position, duration, timestamp) so "Continue Watching" works.
- Favourites and an optional 4-digit parental PIN (stored as plain text locally — consider it a convenience lock, not a security boundary).
What goes over the network
-
Activation — a request to
www.izoiptv.comincluding only your device ID, to check whether your device has been activated and to retrieve the credentials you entered on the web activation page. - Playlist provider (Xtream Codes) — the app queries the server you configured for categories, streams, EPG, movies, and series info. IZO IPTV is not the provider of this content and has no visibility into these requests.
-
Update check (Tizen only) — a request to
api.github.comonce every 6 hours to check whether a newer.wgthas been released on this project's GitHub repo. No identifying data is sent.
What the app does not do
- No third-party analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.
- No advertising SDKs.
- No cloud sync of your favourites or watch history.
- No microphone, camera, or location access.
Children
The app is intended for general audiences. An optional 4-digit PIN can gate adult-flagged categories. Because the parental PIN is stored locally in plain text, we do not consider it a protection of minors — it is a convenience lock on top of the playlist provider's own controls.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the app removes every piece of data listed above. There is nothing to delete from an IZO IPTV server because there is no IZO IPTV account. To separately deactivate a device from activation records, use the Sign Out option in the app's Settings screen.
